PIANO LESSONS

  • One-on-One Piano Lessons

  • Location: Offered in one of our two beautifully decorated studio rooms, with virtual lessons available.

  • Teacher Assignment: Students are assigned a regular teacher; however, make-up lessons may not always be with the regular teacher.

  • Arrival: Please arrive 5 minutes early to ensure lessons start on time, as sessions occur back-to-back.

  • Lesson Structure: 30-minute lessons include 25 minutes of instruction, followed by 5 minutes for wrapping up, sanitizing the piano, and transitioning to the next student.

  • Curriculum Options:

  • Bravo Music Studio Curriculum: Geared towards beginners, providing engaging and structured lessons, particularly suited for younger students.

  • Royal Conservatory of Music Curriculum: Also excellent and structured, suitable for various levels.

  • Hygiene: Upon arrival, students are asked to wash their hands and use the provided hand sanitizer.

  • Reward System: We have a reward system to recognize students for consistent attendance and goal completion.

  • Personalized Goals: Goals are created collaboratively with the teacher to help students achieve their objectives, including the possibility of earning high school credits at higher levels.

THEORY CLUB CLASSES

  • Group Theory Classes

  • Location: Offered both in-studio and virtually

  • Eligibility: Available to students starting at Level 4 piano

  • Duration: 1 hour per session

  • Term: September to May

  • Frequency: Weekly

  • Important Notes:

  • Make-Up Policy: No make-up lessons or refunds are provided for missed theory classes. If you cannot attend in person, we recommend joining virtually.

  • High School Credits: Theory is a requirement for earning high school credits through music.

  • Class Composition: Classes are organized based on students’ musical levels and skills, not age.

  • Homework: Weekly assignments are given, with an expected completion time of 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  • Exams: Booked and paid separately through the RCM, with a target examination date in May. Additional exam dates are available throughout the year.

SMART START PROGRAM

  • Group lessons for preschoolers ages 0-4 years

  • The new Smart Start program by the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) is designed to introduce young children to the joy of music in an engaging and age-appropriate way. This innovative program focuses on fostering a love for music through interactive and playful activities.

Key features:

  • Music Exploration: Encourages children to explore musical concepts through movement, singing, and play, helping to develop a strong foundational understanding of rhythm, melody, and musical expression.

  • Parent and Child Interaction: Emphasizes the importance of parent or caregiver involvement, providing a bonding experience while guiding children through musical activities.

  • Developmentally Appropriate: Structured to align with the developmental stages of young children, ensuring that activities are suitable for their cognitive and motor skills.

  • Engaging Curriculum: Utilizes a variety of engaging materials and activities, including songs, games, and hands-on instruments, to captivate children's attention and make learning fun.

  • Foundational Skills: Aims to build essential musical skills and a positive attitude towards music, laying the groundwork for future musical learning.
